VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT (DME)

Striving continuously in pursuit of excellence in imparting globally relevant knowledge and skills in Mechanical Engineering at diploma level, to enhance opportunities in employment and higher learning, with professional ethics and social responsibility.

MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

M1: Use of technology enhanced tools and techniques by motivated and qualified faculty for enhancement of knowledge, understanding of principles, concepts and latest trends in Mechanical Engineering.

M2: Modernization of workshops and laboratories as per the curriculum specified by the State Board of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh, while incorporating emerging industry-relevant technologies to meet the latest industrial requirements.

M3: Conduct of laboratories, guest lectures, industrial visits and industrial training for better understanding of critical concepts of Mechanical Engineering.

M4: Provide opportunities for developing multidisciplinary skills, communication skills, professional attitude, ethics, and social awareness to produce responsible engineering professionals.

PEO Domain Statement
PEO 1 Engineering Foundations Understand and apply knowledge of mathematics, basic sciences and engineering fundamentals to identify and solve routine technical problems in Mechanical Engineering practice.
PEO 2 Core ME Knowledge Apply the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, theory of machines and manufacturing processes to assist in the operation, maintenance and servicing of mechanical systems and equipment.
PEO 3 Practical & Workshop Skills Demonstrate hands-on skills in workshop operations including fitting, machining, welding, casting and basic maintenance to perform productive roles in manufacturing units, workshops and industrial establishments.
PEO 4 Professional Attributes Exhibit workplace communication skills, professional ethics, and teamwork and safety consciousness to discharge their responsibilities effectively in manufacturing and service industries, and pursue higher education for continuous self-development.
