The Department of ECE was established in 1986 and meets the growing demands of Industry and Society. The staff members are well qualified and experienced. The department is equipped with laboratory facilities. The department has 132 intakes in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOS)

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering programme is steadfast to transform students in to competent professionals with qualities of good human values and responsible citizens. On completion of the Diploma programme, the students should have acquired the following characteristics.


  • PEO1: To apply technical knowledge and management principles in analysing and planning problems in the field of electronics and Communication Engineering while ensuring maximization of economic benefits to society and minimization of damage to ecology and environment.
  • PEO2: To be life-long learners with sprit of enquiry and zeal to acquire new knowledge and skills ,So as to remain contemporary and possess required professional skills.
  • PEO3: To enhance entrepreneurial, communication and other soft skills, which will enable them to work globally as leaders, team members and contribute to nation building for the Betterment of the society.

ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS AND DEVICES LAB


The general objective of this lab is to make the student understand the basic components and devices used in electronic circuits. The student can further also come to know the different IC and its specifications

COMPUTER HARDWARE AND NETWORKING LAB


CHNT lab is installed with networking. All lab activities are done as per curriculum. At the end of course, students learn assembling of PC, OS installation, Networking basics, Crimping tool usage.

MEASUREMENTS AND SERVICING LAB


The general objective of this lab is to make the student understand the basic building blocks of analog communication systems and different analog modulation techniques. The student can further use these conceptual skills in the course of his/her own experimental projects in various fields and advance subjects pertaining to communication field.

DIGITAL ELECTRONICS LAB


Digital Electronics Lab is utilized by 3rd semester ECE, 4th semester ECE & 5th semester ECE and EEE Diploma in engineering students. Laboratory experiments in digital electronics are study of various logic gates, flip-flops, and counters, 8086 Processors and 8051 Microcontrollers. Employing a learn-by-doing approach, emphasizing the hands – on – experimental experience.

Computer lab is installed with networking. All systems have UPS Connection. All lab activities are done as per curriculum. At the end of course, students learn MS OFFICE, C language, PHOTOSHOP etc.
