CIVIL ENGINEERING

Vision : To prepare the students to transform into globally competent, trained, and skilled technocrats by exposing them to the latest trends of CONSTRUCTION industry; inculcate in them the AWARENESS OF QUALITY CONTROL AND ETHICAL FIELD PRACTICES to motivate the society and to raise the living standards of people by assimilating the innovations of CIVIL ENGINEERING thereby ensuring the technology-transfer to the grass root level,   Mission: To adopt the flexible and vibrant curriculum of Civil Engineering by introducing the latest technology of field experience to learn practical skills. To provide learning experience to the faculty through continuous exposure to Faculty Development training programs. By developing the MOU`s with organisations and industries related to Construction Industry so as all latest technology & knowledge will be available to our students. To produce skilled man power that can contribute to National grown with awareness of social consciousness & ethics.

MATERIAL TESTING LAB

A material testing lab in civil engineering is a facility where various construction materials like concrete, steel, asphalt, and soil are analysed and tested for their properties and performance. These tests help ensure the materials meet specified standards and can withstand the stresses and conditions they'll encounter in construction projects. Common tests include compressive strength of concrete, tensile strength of steel, and various soil tests to assess characteristics like compaction and permeability. The results from material testing labs are crucial for quality control and ensuring the safety and durability of civil engineering structures.

CIVIL CAD LAB

In Computer Aided Drafting (CADD) lab with aid of computer systems and CAD software students can create, draft, modify, analyse and optimize the planning and layout of residential, commercial, irrigation, transport and industrial structures. Hence this helps the students in enchasing the skills in drafting - designing, using automation by means of documentation prepared and to create datum for construction, manufacturing of Civil Engineering Entities.

Hydraulics lab

The main objective of Hydraulics Lab- is to enable the students to determine the coefficient of discharges of various hydraulic machinery like orifice, mouthpiece, and different notches.

Surveying Laboratory

Surveying Laboratory is located in C - Block building of the institute. It comprises of Chains, compasses, Levelling instruments, Theodolites and surveying minor instruments. The object of conducting surveying laboratory is to provide practical exposure to the students in measuring length, finding area, taking bearings, Latitude, Longitude and reducing levels and so on by different classification of surveying.
